Alexis Story Crawshaw is a composer of contemporary acoustic, electroacoustic, and experimental popular music. She is currently conducting doctoral research in intersensorial composition using infrasounds (acoustic waves below 20Hz), and looking at the ways infrasounds impact architectural spaces and the human body. Her research is inspired by the cognitive sciences, human biodynamics, and acoustical physics. Alexis is also the composer and lead vocalist of her experimental jazz pop band, Murder in the Woods. Alexis was born in California and is currently based in Paris, France.
